So long 2022...and why the role of purpose is here to stay

For Bright Space, 2022 was a year of strategic growth and personal fulfilment leading brands to identify their purpose and articulate their value to employees, customers and investors.

As we near the start of a new year, it's always a good time for a look back at the previous 12 months. For Bright Space it was a year of strategic growth and personal fulfilment leading brands to identify their purpose and articulate their value to employees, customers and investors.

As a thriving strategic creative consultancy, we stay true to our founding purpose to communicate value where it matters most. Our belief is that purpose is all about the value a business creates in across everything it does. By applying a very pragmatic process Bright Space has helped our clients tell their story of purpose through distinctive brand and engagement.

In desk research Bright Space Communications carried out in 2022, we found it’s difficult to deny the relevance of purpose in an organisation. No more so for Millennials and Gen Z employees and consumers.

Knowing your purpose is knowing the value you create and who you create it for. Our research also found brands that harnessed this saw a direct correlation with communicating its purpose and business growth.

We’ve had the privilege of working with a raft of businesses across the UK, Europe and North America in 2022 which powered, motivated and challenged our team. Including, Arup, Resinex, MotorPoint, Petredec Group, Plexus, Tokamak Energy and DuPont Mobility and Materials (now Celanese).

Principal Ian Firth was honoured to be a jury member on the Transform Awards Australia and New Zealand for 2022. Likewise Principal Ingrid Brown shared Ian’s sentiment as she gave key note presentations on purpose throughout the year.

The role of purpose is here to stay and we are proud to have helped our clients communicate this and demonstrate the value they bring.  We’ll be seeing much more of it in 2023. And as we open our fresh diaries in early January we look forward to bringing more of those stories to life.

In the meantime take a look a little sample of some of our work from the past year here.
